Memorials
At Yogi's House, we rescue dogs no matter their age, which means that sometimes we see our pups cross the rainbow bridge. On this page, we honor each Yogi's dog that has passed in a caring foster home or after being adopted into a loving family.

Indiana
This is such a heartbreaking post to share, but Indiana’s story deserves to be told-and she deserves to be remembered.
This tiny senior Pomeranian was scheduled for euthanasia at the West LA Shelter on August 1st. She had been listed as a stray, though we believe she was likely surrendered due to her complex medical needs. Indiana was suffering from severe jaundice, and her liver was failing.
We knew we had to try and give her a chance. Thanks to our incredible foster angel Melissa, Indiana was saved and brought straight to Cumulus Animal Hospital for testing and care. She even saw a secondary emergency vet for a 2nd opinion and further testing.
Tragically, her condition worsened quickly. Her diagnostics confirmed there was no treatment that could save her. Indiana passed away only a few days after leaving the shelter.
We are devastated. But the one small comfort is that she didn’t die alone, cold, or scared. She spent her final days wrapped in warmth, softness, and love-because of Melissa.
These are the stories that break our hearts the most. Indiana mattered. And she will be remembered.
Rest peacefully, sweet girl. We love you so much.

Rex
We will love you forever. We are beyond grateful for having had the opportunity to have known and loved you. We are so devastated that you crossed the rainbow bridge.
Thank you, Bestie K9 Camp, for taking care of our sweet boy until the end. We are so grateful you made it out of the shelter. We will always love & honor you.
Unfortunately, Rex had been sick for quite a while. He made some progress, but unfortunately today his health took a turn for the worse and he passed while being rushed to the emergency vet.

Ricky
We are so heartbroken to share that Ricky crossed the rainbow bridge. He let us know it was too hard for him to keep going. We tried everything we could to give him this 2nd chance at life.
We are so grateful for his foster Josephine Jarecki for loving him and being there with him on his last week on Earth.

Bordeaux
When we rescued this little 8-year-old terrier, he was matted and covered in dirt and urine. Almost immediately, his amazing foster mom, Louka, said he was the one for her. His foster mom fixed him up so quickly and later adopted him. We are so thankful for everyone that helped Bordeaux have a peaceful rest of his life.

Alis
We saved Alis from the euthanasia list at a local shelter. She was the sweetest dog with the biggest heart, and made the perfect companion to her mom, Denise. We will always love Alis!

Tuna
We are truly heartbroken to announce to passing of sweet Tuna. Tuna originally joined our rescue about two years ago after being found as a stray. He was paralyzed in his back two legs, but that never slowed him down. He had his wheels, loved being outside, treats, and love. Thank you to everyone who donated towards him and sent him gifts on his Amazon wish list. He was about 9-10, the vets think. He passed away on October 4, 2025. He had an incurable cancer diagnosis, which unfortunately, was too far along. Tuna was a happy and loving dog. Although it breaks our hearts to say he was never adopted, we feel gratitude knowing how much love he received for the last year with his incredible foster, Nicole. Thank you for always loving Tuna, going above and beyond always, and caring for him every day step-by-step. We couldn’t have done it without you, and it makes us so happy to know. He knew so much love from you and your family. Tuna will truly always be in our hearts, and we will miss him immensely.
