“I can’t say enough about how amazing Yogi’s House is! The incredible work they do for dogs in need is truly inspiring. I got my adorable little baby, Bambi, from them after they saved her from euthanasia at a shelter in January. She’s brought so much joy into my life, and I owe it all to Yogi’s House. I’ve also fostered many dogs through them, and the experience has been so rewarding. They are always so helpful, responsive, and amazing to work with. Their dedication to rescuing and caring for these precious pups is nothing short of incredible. Thank you, Yogi’s House, for everything you do! ❤️🐾"

Adopters

"When I first reached out to Yogi’s House I couldn’t believe how kind and personable they were. They spoke with me for months and months before I actually ended up adopting with them. They always gave me their time and advice whenever I asked. The adoption process was so encouraging and they answered all questions with so much care. I felt and I still feel today 100% taken care of by them. Once you foster or adopt with Yogi’s House you become apart of their family and they bend over backwards to make sure their dogs are taken care of, vetted, trained, safe and happy."

“I’d always dreamt of having a dog. I grew up without pets, and my first apartment after college wasn’t dog friendly. I’d describe to my friends this fantasy of having a goofy looking French bulldog follow me around everywhere. Knowing how darn expensive the puppies are, I never thought it’d become a reality. I stumbled across Yogi’s House in April ‘23, finally in a place where I could adopt. A month later, they posted on their story a pic of Domino on his freedom ride home from the shelter. He was so silly looking and so happy even though he was caked in dirt. I think I applied to adopt him before he even made it back to the foster. The next day we met, and we both knew immediately that we were bonded somehow. It was love at first sight, and it was the fastest adoption in the history of Yogi’s House. Now I have my goofy Frenchie, and he follows me around wherever I go. Both our lives were changed for the better. Thanks to Yogi’s House, my wildest dream literally came true.”

“Thank you to Yogi’s House for giving me my best friend, Houdini! He’s the best dog ever and I couldn’t imagine my life without him. I bring him everywhere with me. I’m so proud of all the dogs that Yogi’s House has saved!"

“Working with Yogi’s House was really amazing; they made the experience so perfect and so easy. As soon as I saw a photo of Dicky, I knew that I had to go get him, and I literally did within a day. He met my other dog Rue, and they immediately got along. Yogi’s house provided me with an AirTag, a bed for him, food, leash, and he already had a microchip. They were so available and supportive throughout the entire process because it took me a couple of weeks to really, for sure, decide that I was going to keep him. They were really there for me, and I just couldn’t recommend adopting with Yogi’s House more. Truly, truly, I will do it again!”

“My experience with Yogi’s House has been absolutely wonderful! I’m so grateful for the amazing work they do. They are super communicative and supportive, making the whole fostering process a breeze. So many dogs have been saved and placed into loving homes because of them! The best part? I found my forever fur friend, Harrison through them!”

"I am forever grateful for the work that Yogi's House does. This rescue opened my eyes and heart into the shelter animal crisis that our country is experiencing. I did not even think that it was possible for French bulldogs to be in shelters, unfortunately there are many as well as young beautiful puppies. I actually reached out to Yogis’s house on my birthday of last year, when they posted a photo of Blue. Incredibly, Blue was on my doorstep three days later. They coordinated a ride for him from the Riverside animal shelter. They were there for me every step of the way, especially when I went into shock seeing the condition that blue showed up in. I didn’t realize how much dogs suffered within the shelters. Yogi’s House understands that it is crucial to pull these animals as soon as possible to a foster to save their lives. The shelters are overwhelmed, over capacity, and rescue pulls and fosters are the most important thing we can do to save lives.”

“Yogis house made the entire adoption process so easy, and quite frankly, I would have been completely unable to make this miracle happen without their help. They helped coordinate a place for her to stay when the shelter told me she needed to be spayed and I was unable to take her home directly then. When it was time for her to come home to me, they took care of transportation for someone to meet me halfway so I didn’t have to drive 12 hours. Since then, they have ensured that everything has gone smoothly with her transition. If I ever need advice on training, they are happy to help. Anything I have asked of them, they have been more than happy to help. I have never been more grateful to a rescue and been able to see such wonderful work happen in real time. Thank you Yogi's House!”

“Adopting Miso from Yogi’s House has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. From the moment I saw him, I knew he was meant to be a part of our family. Miso has brought so much joy, love, and laughter into our home. He’s such an amazing dog! The team at Yogi’s House was incredibly supportive throughout the adoption process. They provided all the information and guidance needed to ensure a smooth transition for Miso. They even checked up on Miso to see how everything was going but one of the best parts was their foster-to-adopt program, which allowed us to ensure Miso was the perfect fit for our family before finalizing the adoption. It was clear that they genuinely care about the well-being of every animal in their care.”

“Adopting from Yogi’s House was seamless and easy, i had originally reached out in regards to a dog that had already found its home but they told me about another dog that was up for adoption that they thought I might like. I went in and met her and fell in love immediately. I brought her home 5 days later and she’s made my life better every day she’s been in it. Yogi’s House helped me find the perfect pup for me and made the process as smooth as could be! They gave me a friend for life.”

My partner and I had never fostered a dog before, but when we saw Butter, a sweet fluff-ball on the euthanasia list due to a small wound and a limp, we felt compelled to help. The Yogi’s House team made the entire process so smooth and welcoming, and before we knew it, Butter was on the road to recovery.

Watching him transform from a scared, shut-down pup into a happy, goofy, and full-of-life dog has been one of the most rewarding experiences. And the best part? Butter found his forever home—with us.

We’re endlessly grateful to Yogi’s House for bringing him into our lives and for the incredible work they do every day. If you’re thinking about fostering, take this as your sign!

“I didn’t have any pets as I was always too busy with work and I had been wanting to foster for a long time.  After a stress-related health issue, I decided it was time to do more of what I actually wanted and so I fostered my first dogs from It’s Yogis House, a bonded pair of cute terrier mixes who were on the euthanasia list at just 10 months old.  Fostering them was the best decision I’ve made in a long time. It’s been so rewarding to see them transform from terrified pups into happy, healthy zoomie loving dogs. I think certain dogs come into your life for a reason and these two helped me through a tough time and brought so much happiness which I will be forever grateful for.”

Fosters

“We’ve fostered with Yogi’s House 3 times now - 1. Foster hospice, 2. Special needs pup who got adopted, and 3. Our new foster fail aka adopted boy Papi! We have had straightforward fosters and tricky medical cases together and I can confidently say that everyone on the Yogi’s Team is so committed to providing the best possible life for these euthanasia listed dogs. We couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity to work with them and I have referred several friends to this rescue because they have a lower barrier to entry than others and a very fast response rate! Makes it so easy to work together when we are all mission focused on saving the dogs!! They make it so easy to foster by reimbursing for all supplies and food and medical in real time. The network of other Yogi’s House adopters and fosters is fantastic as a support system too!”

“Dogs are special, once they trust you, they love you unconditionally. These dogs at Yogi’s house are dogs that have been unfairly caged and are on the brinks of almost being euthanized due to human’s negligence in recognizing just how special they are. Being able to take part in saving them, restoring their faith, working with them, loving them, and being loved by them has been a wonderful experience for me to take part in. I love this work. By fostering them I’m saving their life, it’s meaningful. Many emotions come in when I see them off to their new home but Yogi’s house does a very thorough job in vetting where they go, so I get to feel confident about my little pups leaving their nest to go fly in their new life. I’m honestly super thankful to have come across Yogi’s house and intend to work with them for a long time in the unforeseen future. I’m thankful for the opportunity"

Amanda Smith, Foster

“When I decided to foster my first dog, I wasn’t sure what to expect.  I was concerned about becoming a “foster fail” but decided to go for it.  It has turned out to be one of the best decisions.  The beauty of seeing a scared and shy dog transform into a confident, loving and happy companion is so rewarding.  Each day brings new milestones, whether it’s their first tail wag, their first real rest on a comfy bed, or just the realization that they are truly safe.  Knowing that I played a part in saving a precious life and have prepared them for their forever home is such a wonderful feeling.  I will admit, it is hard to say goodbye, I love each and every one of them, but knowing they are going to live a beautiful life with a loving family makes it all worth it.  If you have considered fostering, I highly recommend it; It not only changes the life of the dog but also brings immense joy and fulfillment to your own."

“Throughout the past two years, I have fostered 16 dogs through Yogi’s House, 2 of which I adopted.
All of their dogs are in foster homes, not in a shelter, so fosters are able to answer questions about the dogs. They really put their hearts into helping these dogs find the very best homes, and even if the home location is a great distance, for the right home, they will make it happen. They are very communicative and supportive and I highly recommend them."

“Yogi's house made fostering simple, provided our girl Fox with everything she needed to overcome her cancer diagnosis and gave an abandoned sick dog a new lease on life. She’s living in Santa Cruz being adored, spoiled, and the main character of her own story. I’m privileged to have been her foster. Really a gratifying and emotional process but everything turned out amazing!”

“Being part of this incredible rescue village (led by two powerhouse females, Emma & Nicola!), all of whom are working tirelessly to rescue and care for these dogs has filled my heart with so much joy:) Witnessing each dog’s journey from rescue to foster to adoption (like Barkley & Felipe) and knowing I played a role in helping them find their FURever homes has brought a newfound sense of purpose to my life! These experiences are a beautiful reminder of the difference we can make when we come together for a cause and I look forward to continuing to support all the great work you do!”

Payal Lohia, Foster

“Fostering with Yogi’s House has been so fulfilling and amazing. Over the past 4 months, I’ve fostered 7 dogs with Yogi’s, several of which I requested to pull from the euthanasia lists in Riverside. Yogi’s has been so on top of communications regarding transport, reimbursement, and general questions! I’m so grateful Yogi’s has been kind enough to help all of these dogs financially so I could provide them a loving home while we search for a furever home. It’s been so nice to keep in touch with the adopters and see my fosters so happy in their homes. I absolutely recommend fostering or adopting with Yogi’s House!"
